GUATEMALA CITY: Central America’s largest traditional sign company Panavision is adding world-class digital signage capabilities through a new regional partnership between Panavision and ComQi.

Based in Guatemala, Panavision is the dominant advertising and marketing sign provider across Central America, servicing oil companies, retail stores, supermarkets and QSR like McDonald’s, Pollo Campero and Panda Express.

Partnering with ComQi gives Panavision reseller rights across seven countries, as well as access to expertise and support to help meet customer demands and add digital signage solutions to its product and services offer.

EnGage, ComQi’s industry-leading content management system software, provides Panavision with a platform that accurately and easily targets messaging across one or many screens, automates content, and provides insights on the impact of digital visuals on store traffic and sales.

Panavision is establishing a digital showroom at its main Guatemala City office that will demonstrate a wide range of ComQi’s retail-focused digital applications, including digital menu boards, drive-thru displays, shelf-edge displays and embedded smart screens.

The partnership grew out of mutual needs – with Panavision looking for a credible, experienced partner to help guide its evolution to digital, and ComQi wanting a respected, seasoned local partner to service the Central American market.

“Panavision is really an ideal partner and re-seller for ComQi, because the company has an impressive client base, deep relationships, and strong plan to grow their digital signage business,” says Stuart Armstrong, Group President and Chief Revenue Officer of ComQi. “It’s also important to us that Panavision is a large player in their market, and with almost 400 employees, they have a lot of resources to apply to really grow the digital side of their business for the next 10 or 20 years.”

“Panavision has a proven, very successful traditional signage enterprise,” says Alejandro Matheu CEO of Panavision, “and the addition of ComQi’s digital signage and content management technology solutions puts us in a position to innovate in the region, and accelerate growth with our existing clients, as well as build new client opportunities.”

“We invested the time and resources to canvass the marketplace and find the right partner, and we have that in ComQi,” he adds.
